Driven by a passion for children and youth, Jaymes has also led initiatives in collaboration with Huntsville City Schools, implementing mentorship programs in three schools, providing literacy tutoring for elementary students, and providing resources for short-term housing and generosity to unhoused families in support of the McKinney-Vento Act. He also has served as a weekly mentor to students at Mae Jemison High School and McNair Middle School,  and he has been an active member of the Title One Budget Advisory Committee for Huntsville City Schools.
